Day 1 Friday, 15th March 2024
The Trailblazer Begins Meals D
Your adventure begins in Longreach, ‘Heart of the Outback’. The team from eXpedition10 will welcome you on board your luxury ten seat 4X4 coach for the reunion of a lifetime. Travelling the Capricorn Highway to Barcaldine, pause at Ilfracombe to wander through the historic outdoor machinery exhibits then continue to Barcy to catch up with your fellow Trailblazers.
Enjoy dinner tonight at the Barcaldine’s newly opened Ski Park where Lance will give us all the information we need for the journey.

Day 2 Saturday, 16th March 2024
Rattlin’ on the Rails and Trails Meals BLD
Rise and shine, it’s adventure time. Ilfracombe will be our first stop today to enjoy the friendly outback hospitality and breakfast at the Wellshot Hotel. Just a word of warning, The Wellshot Pub has been referred to as the “Crab Pot”. “Once you’re in you can’t get out”!
All Aboard! Experience a heritage Rail Motor journey on one of the outback’s newest attractions. Board Smithy’s heritage rail motor travelling from Ilfracombe to Longreach on an epic Outback Rail Adventure followed by a legendary Smithy Smoko beside the Thompson River.
The Tralblazer continues by following the Lake Dunn Sculpture Trail to the old coach stop at Grays Rock for lunch before arriving in Alpha for the night.
As usual, Lance has arranged the “best ever” concert at the Jump Up’s featuring Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owens performing highlights of their national tour. Shuttles will begin from accommodation and Showgrounds at 5pm. All Trailblazers will be made aware of our ‘dress code’ for this evening. There will be prizes!!

Day 3 Sunday, 17th March 2024
St Patrick’s Day Shenanigans Meals BLD
Leaving Apha behind us. Take a short drive to Jericho where a hearty breakfast awaits at the local Showgrounds. I wonder what else awaits us?? No doubt we’ll soon find out.
Between Alpha and Yaraka is Mount Slowcombe Lookout, with panoramic view taking in the nearby Yang Yang ranges and plains and grazing lands of the surrounding country side. This is an ideal place to enjoy the stunning outback views and….. a cricket match!! Mt Slowcombe, chosen by our fearless leader, Lance as the site of the Trailblazer Reunion inaugural ‘Vaughan Johnson Memorial International T20 Cricket Challenge’.
Tonight will be yet another fun night, this time at the famous Yaraka Bush Pub for our St Patrick’s Day dinner and Irish Night. Enjoy the magic of Toucan Twango, our famous “ABBA” tribute show, plus Tania Kernaghan and Jason Owens. All Trailblazers, media and VIP guests will be in costume.

Day 4 Monday, 18th March 2024
Winding Down The Road Meals BL
Following our final breakfast with the team this morning, depart Yaraka to travel via Isisford to Blackall. Pause to take a look around this old town which literally grew on the sheeps back. It is also home to the Black Stump. Continue south along the Landsborough Highway through Augathella to arrive later in the afternoon in Charleville for our final night on this tour.

Day 5 Tuesday, 19th March 2024
On The Home Run Meals BL
Following a look around Charleville, nestled beside the Warrego River and at the intersection of the Mitchell and Warrego Highways, take a tour of the secret army base built in Charleville during World War II which housed 3000 American servicemen and a very amazing top secret weapon.
Lunch will be at the Cosmos Centre Cafe and gift shop prior to arriving at the Charleville Airport for flights returning home.
